Sun Microsystems provides comfortable setup wizards for MySQL Community Server and the GUI Tools. Please install MySQL Community Server first – the GUI Tools afterwards. We are not going to explain every single step; we’d rather like to present a simple configuration that could be used on a Windows developer machine by showing the screen flows of the setup and configuration wizards. Be careful – sometimes you have to change the default entries of the wizards in order to adhere to the following screen flows.
